# Ender 3 Pro - Z Axis will not surpass -5.00 mm

Hi all,

I’m having an issue with my Ender 3 Pro. I have a BLTouch installed, and after auto-homing, I go to adjust my Z axis to obtain the proper bed height below nozzle; I can get it down to -5.0 mm but it is limited to that. How can I go about adjusting the limit on my Z axis to go below -5.0 mm?

This really sounds like an installation problem.

How do you manage to get the probe so low? The recommended difference between the tip of the extended BLTouch and the tip of the nozzle is between 1-3mm.

If you have such a huge gap, it would be much better to look at the physical mounting to be within the suggested height range.
