# Ender 3, replaced main board 1.1.5 silent with bugfix\_1.1.x fw now USB port not recognized

My main board went bad a year or so back. I replaced with ver.1.1.5 with the silent driver.  
The firmware is BugFix\_1.1.x.  
Since I replaced the board my computer no longer connects to the printer via USB.  
I have been using a microSD card to load the print files into the machine for over a year now. It’s getting old.  
What is the solution?  
I get a giant headache when I research this problem. Too many main board and firmware versions to chose from. Not sure if I need to update the firmware or replace the main board again. Not sure if I need a bootloader or not. Please steer me in the right direction.
