# Ender3-v4.2.7-Stock - CHANGE MEDIA

I recently installed the firmware and noticed there is a “Change Media” choice above the Print from Media. This doesn’t appear to do anything. I am using a Micro SD to SD Card Extension Cable Adapter. I have to power down, insert the SD, and power back on to have it recognized. I was hoping the change media option would allow me to remove the SD, add another print job and reinsert the SD and have it recognized.
What is the intended purpose for the change media option?

This is why. The media detect pin never sees a change of SD Card.

Ahh! Thank you. I suspected it had to do with the adapter.
