This mostly depends on if the screen supports it.
For example, I believe this should be enabled for the Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro - however the Ender 3 V2 screen doesn’t support displaying the required prompts or user input - so it doesn’t work.
Which specific printer were you asking about?
I have an Ender 3 Pro with a 4.2.7, but none of the firmware runs on it. I have to run the V2 firmware just to get it to work. I’ve tried to run your Ender3 builds but it just give me the high pitched tone the blank screen. The board has the STM32f103RET6 Creality environment.
The Ender 3 Pro uses the same firmware as the Ender 3. There’s no differences in the electrical side of things.
If you have the v4.2.7 mainboard (ie you replaced it yourself), the correct firmware is:
Stock config: Ender 3 - v4.2.7 Board - Stock - Marlin Firmware Service
BLTouch: Ender 3 - v4.2.7 Board - BLTouch - Marlin Firmware Service
If you’re running the v4.2.2 mainboard (they normally ship with this board), the firmware is:
Stock: Ender 3 - v4.2.2 Board - Stock - Marlin Firmware Service
BLTouch: Ender 3 - v4.2.2 Board - BLTouch - Marlin Firmware Service
The Ender 3 V2 has a different screen that is not compatible with the screen on the Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro.
