I’m trying to build a custom firmware for my Ender 3 Pro with BLTouch, Power resume, and some other features. If I choose anything other than default settings (that I can tell), it results in a failed build, saying that there is not enough storage space on the board for the build. The main thing I wanted to change was the bilinear leveling number of mesh “points” so it does a 4x4 or even 5x5 grid just to make sure it’s as accurate as I can get it.
Yeah - if your printer has the original 8 bit board, its REALLY difficult to get features to fit into the 128Kb of flash available.
If you want something more upgradable and more full featured, then the v4.2.7 board upgrades are certainly worth it.
Will the 4.2.7 board upgrade work with the LCD/endstops/etc I already have in my stock Ender 3 Pro? No soldering or anything involved?
You only have to swap the board out.
