Ender 3 v2 black screen after firmware upgrade - regular fix do not work

Hi,

I have spent the whole weekend trying to recover my Ender 3 v2 from a black screen issue triggered by a firmware upgrade.

I followed the directions from Creality, which later on, I discovered they are not accurate enough. I end up visiting the famous Reddit post. I also noticed that some people recommend using an 8GB SD card for the upgrade, as the FAQ from this forum.

I tried everything without any luck. I was wondering if there is a “hard reset” to return the fabric settings.

I’m open to any suggestions.

Most likely you need to prepare the SD Card in the correct way. The bootloader that does firmware updates is MUCH picker than Marlin in what it can or cannot read when it comes to the SD Card…
