Ender 3v2 with Sprite Extruder Pro and BL touch

Hello everyone,

I’ve had a Creality Ender 3 with the “Sprite Extruder Pro” for a while now. Recently, I decided to upgrade by adding a BLTouch (purchased from AliExpress). After it arrived, I connected the BLTouch directly to the designated port on the Sprite Extruder Pro, and then connected the cable that came with the BLTouch to the motherboard. I didn’t disconnect the Z-axis cable since I assumed it wasn’t necessary because it’s connected elsewhere.

After downloading the appropriate firmware, I tried the auto home function. It seems to work fine—it moves to the center and slowly lowers until it touches the BLTouch (it stops slightly above the bed, but I assume I’ll need to adjust that later). However, when I try to perform bed leveling, the nozzle moves to the front-left corner, as if it’s about to start printing, but the BLTouch ends up off the bed, so it can’t properly probe the 9 points to level the bed.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, could you share the firmware that helped you resolve it?

Thanks in advance!

when you home it should do this in the middle. you are correct you need to adjust to z-offset to tell the firmware the amount to lower the nozzle to be correctly above the bed. for example mine is -1.9mm.

when you do a bed leveling the nozzle will moze to x=0 and y=0, wait for the bed temp to reach temperature then start probing. in your case it sounds like probe offset is sightly of.

the a setting called probe offeset where you can tell the software how far the probe is from the hotend. in my case x=-45 y=-7 and ad already stated z=-1.9.

if you are using octopi the the is a great plugin that allows you to edit the eeprom
